orginally held on January 20th and 21th, will be postponed since
the China Wu Shu Teams can't arrive in U.S. on time. We will let

Chess Class
International Chess Master Richard Shorman
will open Chess class in our O-Mei Chinese School from January 2,
2007. The Class will start at 5:30-6:30 on every Tuesday.

by Tiger Claws and Disney Wide World of Sports
On October 6-8 2006, Tiger Claw along
with Disney Wide World of Sports invited the best martial artist
from all parts of the United States and from all martial art disciplines
to compete and find out who is the best of the best. This black
belt only tournament made history with the top martial artist from

7/23/06: Good News
Two fighters from World Fighting Center, USA,
a division of O-mei Kung Fu Academy, have emerged triumphant from
Cung Le's Born To Fight VI!
WFC fighters John Chen and Owen Zhang both had a magnificent showing
at Cung Le's Born To Fight in San Jose on July 22nd.
John Chen entered in the advanced San Shou
division, earned a TKO in the finals of his weight class. The TKO
was declared by the referee 30 seconds into the first round.
Owen Zhang was part of the main event for the evening. He battled
Ed Carpio from Cung Le's Santa Clara school. After 4 rounds of intense
fighting, he was victorious and is the new US Amateur Lightweight
San Shou Champion. Congratulations to both fighters.
Tiffany Reyes competed at the Pan American
Wushu Championships, in Toronto, Canada last week. She earned a
first place in Straightsword and second place in Spear. Congratulations!
6/1/06: Good News
Alex Whitlow
won No. 1 spot on U. S. A Team!
Alex Whitlow competed in the U.S Junior Wushu Team Trials at the
University of Maryland in College Park, MD during the weekend of
5/12-5/14. Competitors from accross the nation were vying for a
chance to compete in the 1st Junior World Wushu Championships taking
place in Kuala Lumpur, Maylaysia this August. Only 10 competitors
will be selected to represent the United States Team: 3 male & 3
female group A (14yrs - 18yrs) & 2 male & 2 female group B (13 yrs
& under).
At the conclusion of the tournament, when the team members were
announced, Alex was named to the number one spot on the male A-team.
6/17/ 06: School Closing Schedule
Our School will be closed on Saturday, June 17, 2006 due to Asia
American Expo. O-Mei Kung Fu Academy will offer great demonstration
in this exhibition. We welcome our students to join us.
6/18/06: School Closing Schedule
Our school will be closed again on Sunday, June 18, 2006, due to
the CPAA
International Arts Festival 2006 on that particular day.
6/19/06: O-Mei Summer Camp
Come to our 10-week Summer Camp!. We have great, short-term Kung

6/20/06: Special Summer Tour to China
O-Mei Kung Fu Academy will travel to China this summer. You can
choose either Tour I or Tour II. We will leave from San Francisco
on Jun 20, 2006. In Shanghai, Sichuan, He Nan and Beijing, our students
will have the unique opportunities to train with different Chinese
WuShu teams. Also, activities will include visit to Great Wall,
The Imperial Palace, O-Mei Mountain, Shaolin Temple and many places
of interest. This will be a great opportunity for O-Mei students
to see the real China. We welcome you to join our tour!
